VIRGINIA CHAPTER DISTINGUISHED MEMBER SERVICE AWARD
This award was initiated in 2004 by then-President, Linda Hestvik. It is to recognize the contributions of a member to the Virginia Chapter of NAPNAP. Anyone is eligible to nominate a member for the award, and the Executive Board makes the selection in June. The recipient is acknowledged at the fall conference in Williamsburg or at a local meeting in the fall.
2005: Elizabeth (Betsy) Morris - a member of the NOVA continuing education committee for several years; coordinated with Northern Virginia Pediatric Society to cosponsor a program featuring the well-known Dr. Barry Brazelton.
2007: Kris McHarg - chair of the NOVA continuing education committee for 5 years, instrumental in coordinating high quality, low cost dinner programs for our members. Also initiated community service projects for the group in conjunction with CME events.
